New sealing technologies for three different redox flow batteries
hydrogen-bromine, zinc-air and organic RFB.
Optimizing sealing geometry and estimation the lifetime of gaskets based on short-term time dependant measurements. Application of commercially available sealing materials compatible with the corrosive nature of the chemicals and temperature range. Improving mechanical sealing performance through numerical, theoretical and experimental analysis of different RFB designs. Researching new manufacturing techniques for redox flow battery prototypes.
